Ever since I saw a tutorial on my friend Claire’s blog Pillar Box Blue for some lovely paper bunnies, I knew I had to make some. Instead of using craft paper, though, I decided to use pages torn from an old book and to use them as table favors for the girls in my book club. Book page bunnies, if you will.
It was so incredibly easy! I tore 2 pages from an old book, folded them in half lengthwise, then cut a bunny shape. Then I stitched them together on my sewing machine, leaving the bottom open. Then I filled each one with candy and stitched the bottom closed.
Now that I had the little bunnies, how to decorate them? With my book club about an hour away, I hastily looked through my craft stash and found some fun trimmings. I tied ribbons around their necks and used different adornments for the tails. My favorite are the beautifully embellished brads. Of course, you could get very fancy and artistic with these guys, but I kept it simple. Perfect for a book club, don’t you think? Just have to say it again – just love these sweet book page bunnies.
The biggest compliment is a little share – pin the photo below!
They are so sweet!! I love how you used book pages for the bunnies, they give them a lovely vintage look! I will be featuring your post this week! #HomeMattersParty xx
Thanks!
What a lovely twist on Claire’s make, I love to see how different people interpret ideas and add their own take on it.
Thanks!
Love them, they look lovely in print. Bet your book club loved them.
Thanks, and thanks for the inspiration!
