These little paper accordion hearts are so simple to make but so cute, and a nifty way to use some of those wine corks I’ve been saving! They also add a sweet touch to your Valentine’s table. supplies needed:
- craft paper
- wooden skewer
- hole punch
- wine cork
step 1 – cutting
Using a template, trace a heart onto a folded sheet of craft paper and cut. Unfold.
step 2 – folding
Carefully fold the heart accordion style. Once folded, punch a hole in the center, as shown in photo below.
step 3 – finishing touches
Insert the pointed end of a wooden skewer into a wine cork. Thread the skewer through the punched holes in the paper heart. Hold in place with a small dab of hot glue at the top back of the heart and again at the bottom back of the heart. These little accordion hearts make a fun addition to Valentine’s Day decorations as well as wedding showers and other parties.
