I recently learned to knit, so I’m only tackling easy projects right now. My latest is this sweet and simple neckwarmer. I grabbed some yarn from my stash and here’s how it went down.
- cast on 17 stitches
- K1, P1, etc. (seed stitch) I kept going until it was about 28″ long.
- cast off
- sew on 2 buttons
That’s it folks. This is a seriously easy neckwarmer to knit and a great way to use up some old yarn and practice your knitting skills. Did I mention knitting also keeps your hands busy while watching TV at night so you aren’t tempted to munch on snacks?! Works for me.
Do you remember what size needles you used?
Wendy, what size needle did you use for this neck warmer?
Thank you Wendy for this pretty pattern! I have a question: how wide is the warmer? (since I’m not sure of the gauge your using) Thanks in advance!
Hi Julia, I gave the warmer as a gift, so I no longer have it here to measure, but my guess is the width is about 9″. hope this help!
I love the idea of a pattern that you can write in 4 lines – doesn’t get much simpler than that – thanks for stopping by and sharing at #HandmadeMonday
It was short and sweet wasn’t it!
What a pretty neckwarmer, and it will go with everything.
Thanks and it was easy to knit!
