There’s really no point to decking your halls to the ninth degree if you fail to adorn the most important corner of your home. Your door.

Your front door is the first thing visitors see when they stop by. It sets the tone for their sojourn. It welcomes them in from the cold. You get the idea.

Our challenge this week is to think about the holiday wreath we plan to hang on our door. You may have an exquisite one your use each year, and all you need to do is spruce it up with a new ribbon. Or you may want to join me in fashioning a new one, especially if you have a specific holiday decorating theme.

I’ve rounded up a few examples of some really beautiful wreaths. I’ve also included tutorials on how to make them. Hope this gives you some ideas!

Bright colors and fabric scraps make for a whimsical wreath, such as this one by Pamwares on Etsy. Or you can try your hand at making one with this tutorial by Vintage Paint and More.

Into upcycling? This lovely wreath is a bit of greenery adoring an old silver platter, found at Stacy Nash Primitive Designs.

Feeling inspired yet?

My Christmas theme this year is mercury glass. Hmm… wonder what kind of wreath will show up on my door…

P.S. – Here’s my finished project…
