I’ve taken a short hiatus from blogging these past several weeks, as I’ve been busy settling in to our new beach condo for the winter. However, seeing that I’ve kept my holiday décor simple, it is right in line with this year’s Handmade Christmas minimalist theme! Want to take a peek? Here’s the Christmas tour.
First, my little Home Depot tree (under $100, I confess). But I spruced it up with paper lanterns and silver and copper balls. I placed it on a small table for added height.
I was planning on making birds for my “snowbird” theme, but I found these adorable little fellows at Target.
Then, I stumbled upon these moose (yes, that is the plural form, not meese!) at World Market, and I loved bringing in more copper.
I spotted these, too, and decided to run with the moose theme!
In keeping with this theme, I added a simple string of moose lights (okay, so maybe they’re reindeer, but close enough) to a grapevine wreath.
For my table, I tossed some extra ornaments, pinecones, and white and copper lights into a wooden bowl. In true snowbird fashion, I folded the napkins as tiny bird nests (see the video tutorial), and I even found these beautiful beaded placemats at HomeGoods.
A night shot when the lights are on!
I don’t have a mantel in this condo, so I had to be creative with the stocking hanging (wreath hanger on door!)
Hope you enjoyed the Christmas tour. Have a very special Christmas, everyone.
