These are so darn cute, I rounded up some of my favorites! (from left to right) Lacy teepee from Banana J Creations; Rockin’ teepee from Always a Project (made from a drop cloth); a shabby chic play tent from Teepee and Tent; a sweet little floral one from Land of Nod; a simple modern design from Ashley Gabby; and my freakin’ favorite… a precious Boho beauty from facilisimo.com (this is a tutorial in Spanish, but the pictures are easy to follow).
Teepees seem all the rave right now. Problem is… my children are all grown up, and I don’t think my 26 year old son would be enthusiastic about playing in one. Wait! I DO have a puppy. And Hadji gets what Hadji wants.
After seeing numerous tutorials on Pinterest for these adorable teepees, I had to try one. I followed this tutorial by Anna from And Then We Saved. I pieced together fabric for the sides, because I wanted a homespun patchwork look. I also used some fabric I have been saving for a while that is actual vintage fabric from the 70s; I covered a pillow with the same fabric.
COST-SAVING TIP: For the poles, I bought bamboo tomato stakes from a hardware store instead of using wooden dowels. They were lightweight and much cheaper!
FOOTNOTE: Hadji prefers my lap to his teepee, so we gave it to my nephew.
