make your own holiday cards with vistaprint

make your own holiday cards with vistaprint - myfrenchtwist.com

This week’s challenge in our Handmade Christmas series is all about preparing your holiday cards. In a perfect world (one in which I own a spacious studio with shelves stocked with paint, glue & glitter) I would construct these little jewels myself – from start to finish. But alas, I don’t live in a perfect world. So this season I took an easy route, while still designing an original card. I used Vistaprint

First I went on PicMonkey, a free online design tool, and “photo-shopped” an adorable photo of my pug Hadji. (Hey, you can’t go wrong with a pug!) After adding some holly trim to his crock pot (you heard that correctly…it’s a long story), I added a silvery-blue distressed border and a Christmas greeting. Since we recently moved, I also added our change of address.

I then went to Vistaprint and uploaded my own design to one of their custom templates. Holiday cards made easy.

So this year’s card is not a tedious work of art, but it is original.

And it is very, very cute.
