You hear the word BEADS, you think jewelry, right? Well, think again, because the wooden bead projects I’ve rounded up to share with you today are anything but predictable necklaces and bracelets that any 8 year old could make. Nope. These products are delightful, trust me. Modern. Fresh. Think Scandinavian flavor meets Anthropologie funk.

pendant light
How cute is this pendant light from A New Bloom? It would totally rock in a kid’s room, but I wouldn’t hesitate to use this in a guest room, too, for an unexpected pop of color.
towel rings
I’m definitely going to make a version of these sweet towel rings from Spoon Fork Bacon. What an earthy touch they would add to a powder room!
trivet
This little trivet, which can also be used as a coaster, would make a lovely housewarming gift. Check out my tutorial for making these, using only wooden beads and a piece of leather cording.
icicle garland
I know we are approaching spring and Christmas decorating is far from our thoughts, but I am in love with this beautiful beaded garland from Oleander + Palm. So why wait for Christmas? Use this lovely garland in a variety of ways to embellish mantles and other vignettes.
key chains
When I first began assembling these key chains, I couldn’t believe how easy they were to make, yet the finished projects were so darn whimsical! In fact, I was in Anthropologie a few days ago and spotted some very similar (only mine are cuter!)
napkin rings
Believe it or not, these little napkin rings are even easier to make than the key chains! So simple, but so sweet. They add a sweet organic touch to any table setting.
