I don’t know about you, but I love starting each new year with fresh resolve and purpose. So I thought I’d share some of favorite resources I’ve rounded up to help me dive into 2025 with intention.
First, let me explain that I like to group my New Year resolutions into 6 categories: spiritual, health, career, leisure, family, and home. Yours might look differently; these just work for me. The idea is to consider the areas of your life that are important to you. Now, I won’t share with you the specific resolutions I’ve made for this year, because sometimes they get a little crazy. (Last year’s fitness resolution was to learn to do an unassisted pull-up, and I’m not sure I impressed anyone but myself!) I will, however, share some resources I’ve come across that I’m totally digging. Hope you enjoy.

Good Threads Podcast on Spotify has become a welcomed part of my week. These two girls, Lori Ann and Cori, trace common threads that run through scripture and discuss how these truths weave into our everyday lives. At times they delve deep into theology, but they always keep the discussion easy and real. Listening to this podcast each week refuels my tank and always gives me nuggets to chew on until the next podcast.
Finally, a Fitness Planner that keeps it basic. Just a place to record your workouts, reps and weight for those who like to keep it old school. For me, this is faster than inputting everything into my phone during my workouts.
The Big Book of Exercises for Women is a book I’ve been eyeing for a while. I finally purchased it and I’m thrilled. It’s a great reference when I’m searching for exercises to add to my routine. No trendy workout programs or quick weight loss promises, just a comprehensive guide of basic weightlifting exercises. The illustrations are clear and easy to follow.
Skylight Calendar … get it now. This digital calendar and planner is the only tool I’ve found in 30 years of marriage that my husband actually uses. If I add a task to his chore chart, he (brace yourself) does it without being reminded. Perhaps it’s just because it’s a fun digital toy, but I don’t care. This device has become our new “command center.” It also displays a running slide show of family photos and has functions for meal planning and more. But the best part? It’s easy to use.
So there you have it. My favorite tools for an organized and healthy new year. Start this year out with intention and gratitude.
