Finally, time for the reveal of this One Room Challenge. Take a peek at this multi-functional room of my own! A welcoming space for overnight guests, a blogging nook, and a sewing station. We moved into this new home six months ago, so I started with an empty, basic bedroom. Beige walls and neutral carpet, only in need of some creative decorating.

for my guests
I lightened the room with bright white paint… except for one accent wall, which I painted a deep blue (SW Midnight Moscow.) This wall became the focal point of the room and served as a backdrop for a beautiful Danish modern platform bed. And of course, only Orla Kiely bedding would compliment this midcentury style perfectly!
for my leisure
With some help from Ikea, I transformed one wall into my sewing station, with a table large enough to house both my sewing and embroidery machines. You can read more about how I assembled the sewing center here. And of course, I love love love my pegboard!
for my work
As much as I’d love to play all day, I have to devote some time to work. This lovely room is spacious enough to house my office desk and chair. And yes, that is a television on the wall. I confess, I do turn on an occasional Lifetime movie while I’m working.
