My craft club, COUCOUTURE, assigned two challenges for April from which to choose. My competitive nature taking charge, I naturally complete both of them. The first was a modern shift, and the second was to embellish (not make from scratch!) a bag – market tote, clutch, any kind of satchel. I’m partial to messenger bags, so I shopped around for a light-weight canvas one. I found the perfect one at Target, actually in the men’s section, made by Merona. I have a Fossil fetish, surpassed only by my compulsion for pugs, but I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on an experiment, so I went to my favorite go-to spot – Target.
I had some Lee Jofa linen pug fabric left over from a previous project (okay, so I used to have very expensive pug drapes in my previous home). I brought out my sewing machine, and in less than 30 minutes, I came up with this.
Everything that I love – a messenger bag, some boho flavor, and deliciously fabulous little pugs. It was very easy to make; just check it out on this tutorial.
