What can I say. In addition to reading, you know, real books, I’m also Netflix addict. And Food, Inc. is one film that is life-changing. Yep. Life-changing.

This documentary gives you a look behind the items you buy in the supermarket. That’s right. Going to the grocery store is no longer an easy task; that is, if you watch this documentary and learn from it. I know we all want to think that it is our right to live in a world of convenience, where food is food, and all food we buy is healthy. Not so. Sadly, the farmers of yesteryear are a dying breed, replaced by large corporations and factory farming. And aside from the moral issues here, factory farming MODIFIES the food they produce. We think we are eating a steak, when we are actually eating meat mixed with other by-products from an animal infused with hormones and antibiotics and fed a diet of genetically modified feed.
The good news is that after viewing this documentary, you become wiser. And motivated. Since I watched Food, Inc., I’ve taken care to buy meat that is grass-fed, humanely raised, and that contains no GMOs. I also buy organic produce. Well, I could go on and on. Let me just say this. If you care about your health and the health of your family, this documentary is a must-see.
