beautifully colored macrame rope
This is the monthly post in which I spill all my secrets! Here’s what I’m digging in April. And what’s my latest & very likely my coolest find yet? Beautiful pastel colored macrame rope! 5mm cotton rope dyed in some spectacular colors – lavendar, lilac, heathered indigo, and more! You’ve gotta check out this little Etsy shop – Isabel’s Design Studio. I can’t wait to get my hands on these luscious colors for my next project.
re-usable paper towels
With earth day coming April 22, there’s no better time than now to share my greatest eco-friendly homekeeping tip ever. This is no lie – I have not bought a roll of paper towels in over 2 years. Why? Because I’ve been using these re-usable ones. They have so many clever features: plastic snaps so they can be used reheating food in the microwave, terry cloth backing that is super absorbent on spills, & the perfect size for storing on a traditional paper towel holder. It took my family a while to get used to them, but now they are second nature for us all. Just wash, dry, and reuse.
And here is a link to The Tailored Home (where I purchased mine). I love the fact that they let you select the color of the terry cloth (I prefer gray because it shows less stains.) They have lots of fabric styles from which to choose.
re-usable swiffer duster covers
If you haven’t heard of these, then get ready to be amazed. These little fleece covers are awesome. Period. They collect dust well, and I just throw them in the washer when done. And if you’re really picky, you can choose your own colors! The ones shown below are made by MitsuyoDay, but another trustworthy source is Queen of Hearts Co.
There you have it, folks. What I’m digging in April. If you try any of these products, let me know what you think!

Can you please tell me the length of the wall hanging? I am attempting to make a 10′ x 20″ valance for a balcony. Because I will be mailing it I’m using rings and making 2 panels instead of one. My biggest concern is the amount of cording I need. I am using 6mm cord.
